Having business cards and brochures with you is the best way to begin a conversation about how you and your business can benefit fellow networkers with your individualized product or service. These are beneficial tools that serve as a visual reminder of your name and business information when the event is over.

BRING A FRIEND:

There is confidence in numbers! Having a friend come along to one of our business networking socials promoted by the Lake West Chamber of Commerce is a great way to feel more comfortable about striking up a conversation with others that you are meeting for the first time Your friend can also help provide further insight about you and your business.

START SMALL:

Not comfortable approaching a large group? Seek out a smaller group of networkers and introduce yourself! Everyone is there for the greater good of our Lake West Community and will welcome the introduction and chance to get to learn about you and your business.

ASK QUESTIONS:

Have a list of questions prepared beforehand so you can eliminate the chance of getting tongue-tied and forgetting what you were going to say! Asking open-ended questions is a great way to start a dialogue and keep a conversation flowing.
