TIPS FOR HEADING BACK TO SCHOOL

It's hard to believe that it's that time of year already! August means summer is coming to a close, and kids and parents alike are preparing for the new school season. New schedules and new routines are just a few of the changes that take place this time of year. The Lake West Chamber of Commerce knows how stressful this can be, so we would like to share with you some tips to get ready to ease into this new schedule and be prepared for the first day of school. PAPERWORK & REGISTRATION: Make sure you have all the required documents and paperwork required for your child's school registration. These documents usually include their birth certificate, immunization records, school transcripts or recent report cards, and proof of residency. ADJUST SLEEPING HABITS: Being well rested is important for students to stay alert and focused, and to improve their concentration to perform at their best during the school day. Summer is known for late nights and sleeping late in the morn
