Fun, Exciting 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙞 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙪𝙩 at the Lake!

The Lake of the Ozark Shootout event is coming up in just two short weeks. What you may not realize is that the Annual Mini Shootout is next week! This incredibly fun event is in its 11th year at the Lake of the Ozarks, and we couldn't be more excited to see it again in 2020. Lake West Chamber loves celebrating events that bring the community together for fun while building up the Lake community. Keep reading to learn more about this great event and get ready to have a great time!

What is the Mini Shootout? 


The larger Shootout at the Lake of the Ozarks is the largest unsanctioned boat race in the United States. This Mini Shootout is a fun spin on the event where remote controlled boats are built to look just like the massive powerboats that race in the main Shootout event. These little guys can consistently reach 100 miles per hour, which is faster than some of the big boats on race day! 

Mini Shootout Schedule


This year's Mini Shootout is taking place August 21st, 2020 - August 23rd, 2020.

Friday, August 21st, will be the official "Meet and Greet", held at Bridal Cave / Thunder Mountain Park. This event will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will include music, food, and discounted tours of the incredible Bridal Cave. Registration will also be available at the Meet and Greet, so come on out and get ready to have a great day with your fellow racers!

Saturday, August 22nd, is race day! Races will be held at Ha Ha Tonka's Springs Cove in Camdenton, Missouri. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is when our racers will go head-to-head and try to win the crown in six different classes, including Splash Runs, Bracket Racing, Exhibition Races, Powder Puff Racing, Class Runs, Bounty Race, and Top Gun.

Sunday, August 23rd, the event will wrap up and it will be time to award the best racers in each category! You won't want to miss this award ceremony.
