Q: What does the Chamber do for the lake area?
A: We are a great resource for businesses, non-profits, and visitors to the Lake of the Ozarks area. We provide support and information to help our members and serve as a resource of information for the many visitors to our area. We also provide economic development info to businesses thinking of relocating to the lake area. We sponsor many events during the year to bring people to our area and boost the economic environment.
Q: I’m starting a new business at the lake. How can the Chamber help me?
A: First, we can help you kick start visibility for your new business by assisting you with a “Ribbon Cutting” event. We assist you with promoting it via our newsletter and a list of local media that you can send a press release about the event. We provide support for the actual event with scheduling, event deconfliction, and some logistical support as well. We are a great resource for new businesses for providing economic development data, links to other business related resources, and in the past year, we have developed a COVID-19 Resource Kit to help you navigate the pandemic.
Q: I’m a visitor to the Lake of the Ozarks area and don’t know a lot about the area. Can the Lake West Chamber help me?
A: Absolutely. Our members are the life blood of the economy and we have a comprehensive member directory that you can visit to find information about Dining, Shopping, Lodging, Attractions, Marine, Camping & RV and much more! You can also stop by the Lake West Chamber office in Sunrise Beach and visit our Visitor Information Center.
Q: Are there different levels of membership for joining the chamber?
A: Yes, the investment in the Lake West Chamber is a tiered membership structure. This allows each member to budget and choose the level of participation that fits their needs and invest accordingly. There are five different levels in the Tiered membership structure along with a non-business level that is for individuals-civic-organizations and clubs.
Q: Where can I find information on the differences in benefits for your tiered structure?
A: All information can be found on our website at www.lakewestchamber.com. We have several areas that showcase each tiered benefit level, along with some printable documents that you can download and read at your convenience.
Q: I’ve heard that socials sponsored by the Chamber are good networking events. How often does the Chamber hold these socials?
A: A networking event is scheduled on the 2nd Tuesday of each month to provide you the opportunity to promote your business. If you are a new member, you will be introduced at the social and a few minutes to talk about your business. This event allows you to get to know other Chamber members and to share business cards as well.

We also have a Brochure Display rack inside our visitor center and a Kiosk outside the office to allow you to display promotional material 24/7. As an active Chamber, multiple events are scheduled throughout the year with additional marketing opportunities available to our members.
