Meet our Benefactor Tier Members: Part 1
There are five different levels in the tiered membership
structure along with a non-business level that is for
individuals-civic-organizations and clubs. Lake West Chamber's Benefactors Tier is our most popular tier of membership, so we will
continue over the next several weeks to highlight our Benefactor members.
Owners, Ben and Melissa Krokson, ventured into
entrepreneurship when they started Above & Beyond Roofing in 2000 in
Madison, Wisconsin. We've have been
serving roofing needs at Lake of the Ozarks area since 2004.
Our main objective for moving to the Lake of the Ozarks was
the potential to do work all year versus seasonally in the northern climate.
While the decision to move was centered around year-round business, we've
fallen in love with the Lake of the Ozarks community and have become heavily
involved in a variety of charity events and organizations to support this
community.
We are an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred and Weatherbond
Preferred Roofing Contractor. At Above
& Beyond, we pride ourselves on being locally owned and operated, reachable
7-days per week, and we turn the average roofing job in one day!
Advantage Marine LOTO, LLC is your Lake of the Ozarks
complete marine center. We sell Cypress Cay tri-toons as well as a nice
selection of pre-loved boats, Mercury outboards, Mercruiser inboards,
Volvo-Penta inboards, Haul-Rite trailers, Ilmor inboards, Poly Lift Boat Lifts, and OMC parts. We have factory certified technicians servicing Mercruiser,
Volvo, Ilmor and OMC sterndrives and Mercury Outboards. We are quite proud of
our beautiful facility designed by the owner, Dave Weyer, featuring an indoor
showroom for our new tri-toon, our large selection of accessories, and our 7-bay
state of the art service center which can accommodate even the biggest
cruisers. Advantage Marine began as Wilbus Marine in 1962 built by Bud and Peg
Sharp. Its bright yellow gas dock, Bud's dry sense of humor and the big white
German Shepherd dogs are included in the stories of many long-time boaters at
Lake of the Ozarks.
In 1995, Bill and Barb Painter started B&B Heating and
Cooling with the idea of specializing in the service and repair of heating and
cooling systems. At the time most HVAC
contractors were focused on new home construction, B&B focused on the
repair and maintenance of the existing comfort systems in the area.
In 1999, Bill and Barb’s son, Chad joined the family
business and the three have expanded the company into system replacement and
duct cleaning markets while still maintaining the strong service/repair base
they as so known for. With a complete crew of service and installation
technicians, as well as, tune-up specialists, B&B Heating and Cooling is
able to provide prompt, professional service to the lake area seven days a
week.
Our name, Bear Bottom Resort, was inspired by our family’s
love for the outdoors and our children’s love of spending the summer barefoot.
Originally built in 1959 by Mr. Eddie Bryant, the resort
opened as The Holly Air Resort, boasting such “lavish” amenities as air-conditioned
rooms, electricity and a pool. Our family purchased the resort on August 1,
2008 and immediately started to renovate, repair and re-invent a classic
lakefront resort.
Our 58-acre resort features lakefront rental units, two
restaurants, three bars, an RV park and campground, two waterslides, 38 covered
boat slips, fuel dock, gift shop, and a boat ramp.
Our children may text rather than talk, and TVs are all in
color these days…but the memory of a boat ride or the thrill of hooking the
first fish of the weekend will ALWAYS trump making the high score on a video
game. Enjoy your time with us and come as often as you can!
