A DAY OF FESTIVE FUN - Small Business Saturday & The Lighted Christmas Parade

Saturday, November 24th is a busy and festive day! As we gear up for the holiday season, the Lake West Chamber is kicking it off in style! This day will be filled with festive fun with Small Business Saturday AND The Lighted Christmas Parade. As the promoter of businesses on the West Side of the Lake of the Ozarks, we want to share a few details about these exciting upcoming events. Take a look below to learn WHY you should support local businesses this Small Business Saturday AND you should attend our Lighted Christmas Parade.


Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday is the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It's an important push to encourage shoppers to support local businesses. While many big box stores welcome a big number of shoppers on Black Friday, we want to support our local businesses on Small Business Saturday. It's a great way to give back to local business owners and show your support. Shopping small is incredibly important to our area. When you shop small you are supporting the local workforce, keeping your money circulating locally, boosting the local economy, and helping to support a local business owner and family. What better place to spend your money than with a fellow small business owner at the Lake of the Ozarks!

Lighted Christmas Parade

On November 24th at 6:00pm, a number of lit floats will make their way down Highway 5. The theme of this year's parade is a Star Spangled Christmas Parade. Be sure to don your most patriotic attire as you come out to celebrate or as you plan your parade float. The parade route starts at Central Bank in Laurie and will end at the Laurie Mall where Santa and Mrs. Clause will be to visit with children. Make sure your kids have their Christmas wishes ready for Santa to hear! Whether you are in the parade or watching along the parade route, it's a great way to get into the holiday spirit and gain a strong sense of community!

The Lake West Chamber has a busy Saturday coming up (11/24/18) and we couldn't be more excited to share the details so you can participate too! The Lake of the Ozarks West Chamber is all about supporting local businesses and getting involved in the community. These two missions of ours come together this Saturday - November 24th. Don't forget to Shop Small on Small Business Saturday (and the entire holiday season) AND come to check out the unique and festive Lighted Christmas Parade through Laurie, MO!
